In our team, we tackle the challenge of performing complete rehabilitation for patients from a holistic perspective. This approach involves integrating the stomatognathic system with the rest of the body, treating it as an integral and indivisible entity where the mouth is part of this organ system. We focus on establishing an appropriate intermaxillary relationship, which is essential for restorations that not only meet the functional and aesthetic needs of the patient but also integrate into the biomechanical balance of their body.
We use the “Plane System” protocol to initially record the three-dimensional orientation of the maxilla based on the Natural Head Position (NHP). After a thorough patient analysis, we proceed to record the three-dimensional position of the mandible. The correct intermaxillary alignment of the models, whether in an analog or digital articulator, constitutes the first decisive step that underpins the success of all subsequent treatment stages.
Our meticulous approach ensures that the results are functional, aesthetic, and sustainable over time, avoiding any harmful interferences for our patients.
